At Happiness Blooms Creations, we understand that preserving your cherished flowers in resin is a unique and sentimental process. To help you navigate this journey, we've gathered answers to some of the most popular questions we receive. Let's dive in:
1. How Long Does the Resin Floral Preservation Process Take?
The entire process of preserving flowers in resin typically spans upto 10 weeks. Here's a breakdown:
- Drying Flowers (3-4 Weeks): The first step involves carefully drying your flowers. This meticulous process ensures that they retain their natural beauty.
- Resin Mould (2 Weeks): After the drying phase, we create the resin mould that will hold your flowers.
- Curing (1-2 Weeks): Once the flowers are securely encased in resin, we allow it to cure.
- Sanding, Polishing and Top Coating (2 weeks): Following this, the piece goes through sanding and polishing to achieve a flawless finish.
Although this is the timeline of how long your piece takes to create, there may be waiting times depending on the time of year, this entire process can take up to 20 weeks from receiving your flowers.
We will let you know what these are at the time of ordering but please feel free to ask if you're interested.
2. How Soon Should I Send My Flowers for Preservation?
We recommend sending your flowers to us as soon as possible, ideally within 2-3 days after your occasion. The fresher the flowers, the better the preservation outcome. Upon receiving your blooms, we place them into our high-quality Silica Gel to dry, ensuring that they look fresh and vibrant in the final resin piece. While waiting to send, store your flowers in a cool place to prevent wilting.
3. Can I Prebook My Floral Preservation Slot?
Given the high demand for our services, especially during wedding seasons, we encourage you to secure your spot early. To do this, simply inform us of the date, and we'll note it down in our calendar. There is no deposit needed when booking.
4. How Can I Clean My Resin Piece?
Maintaining the beauty of your resin floral preservation piece is easy. To clean it, use a microfibre cloth with warm water and mild soap. Additionally, you can safely use glass cleaner. However, we advise against using any harsh chemicals, as they may react with the resin and compromise the integrity of your piece. With proper care, your resin artwork will remain a stunning keepsake for years to come.
